The Limbeck Family announced Aug. 13 that the recipients of the second Scott Limbeck Scholarship would be Sarah Urwin, Stephine Caha, Shaun Shepoka, Brooke Baxter, Lisa Duhacek, Dillion Dostal, and Craig Schlautman. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding UNO students.

When the UNO clock tower strikes noon Aug. 26, it will ring in more than just the lunch hour. Inside the Sapp Fieldhouse, new freshmen will be gathered for the first annual Freshman Convocation. Taking place at the end of UNO's Welcome Week, the Freshman Convocation serves as a way for the new students on campus to be honored in their own way.

A little after 9:30 p.m. Monday, June 6, UNO graduate Laura Aust left her first class as a graduate student. Not having a permit, Aust had parked along the one-way road just down the hill on the east side of the Arts and Sciences building. It was light out when she parked, but discovered that after dark the one-way Elmwood Park service road is an unsettling place to be.
