UNO's golf teams finished on a strong note.

When Connor Larson was being recruited out of McCook High School he was a much-heralded basketball player who had just been awarded his third All-State Honorable Mention selection in a row.  His skills as a point guard and his role as captain of the Bison basketball team caught the attention of McCook Community College, Hastings College, Doane and Ottawa (Kansas).

Finding the right lineup is critical to success for any team.  In college tennis, it may be even more so.  Although a team can secure a point by winning two of three doubles matches, six of seven points are determined in singles.
Thus, setting the top six has been UNO coach Mike Saniuk’s biggest decision of the week.  Fortunately he doesn’t spend too much time or energy mulling over the lineup for his women’s team.
 

Like every other sport on campus, the men’s and women’s golf teams have had a rough go of getting the weather to cooperate in 2013.  But unlike every sport on campus, it makes that much more of a difference when success is based on getting practice time outside in the elements.
