UNO students crowd the Milo Bail Student Center while waiting for free Metro bus passes last winter. UNO's Student Government is sponsoring the return of free passes for the fall semester.

This fall the UNO Student Government is sponsoring the return of the Mav Ride Program.  This is the third year that the Student Government is partnered with the Omaha Metro to provide prepaid fare cards to UNO students.  The cards are free to students and can be used on any City bus that is routed to UNO.
“Being able to provide students with the opportunity to have an affordable ride to campus is a service that Student Government takes great pride in,” UNO Student Body President/Regent Devin Bertelsen said.
In order to obtain a pass, students should stop by the Student Government office.  The office is located in the Milo Bail Student Center behind the Fireplace Lounge.
Students must show their Mav Card to receive a pass.  The passes will be available starting Tuesday, Aug. 14 and are given out on a first come first serve policy.  Once all 800 passes are distributed, they will no longer be available.  The cards will become active on Monday Aug. 20 and will last throughout the fall semester.
For more information about the program contact Student Government.

Bus routes for the Omaha Metro can be found on the System Bus Map at www.metro.com.
