Chance Lindley, the University of Nebraska at Omaha women’s basketball head coach, has stepped down from his position for personal reasons.

Director of Athletics Trev Alberts said that Brittany Lange, who has served as the team’s assistant coach, will become the interim head coach to maintain continuity for the players.

Under Lindley and Lange’s leadership, the team compiled a 32-23 record in their first two Division-1 campaigns and finished in the top half of the Summit League standings.

Lange joined the team the year before the Maverick’s first D-1 season.

The women’s basketball team opens their season with an exhibition game against Lincoln University from Missouri on Nov. 2 at the Sapp Fieldhouse.
