Caniglia Field not going anywhere

Signs indicating Caniglia Field's closing adorn the gates on the north and south ends of the field.
What looks like the beginning of an end to Caniglia Field actually is not part of the plans for the field’s future. The field is still under proposal to house UNO’s Men’s and Women’s Soccer team.
The track has been dug up in order to lay storm water pipes for the Biomechanics Research Facility on campus. This work is expected to be completed within the next few weeks. The Facility is projected to be done with construction in August of 2013
