B-Cycle is back for a third season.

The popular bike-sharing program was rolled out on Friday, March 1 at Aksarben Village.

Cyclists can rent one of 35 blue bicycles from one of five kiosks in the Aksarben Village and UNO areas.

Bikes can be returned to any kiosk for a fee. Cyclists can pay a one-time fee or a monthly or annual fee.

The B-Cycle bicycles keep track of distance traveled, calories burned and carbon emissions prevented.

The program is open now through November from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“Omaha B-Cycle is the first large-scale municipal bike sharing system in Omaha,” said Ben Turner, B-Cycle program director. “We...will soon be growing into other areas as well.”
