Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke and TMZ were on full display at Alpha Xi Delta’s annual skit night on Sunday, Oct. 27
The University of Nebraska at Omaha chapter of AXiD hosted their annual event with all proceeds going to Autism Speaks. New members from four fraternities and one sorority competed in this skit competition with a TMXi theme. Each skit was rated by a panel of judges and had to contain certain components like a selfie, a shout out to AXiD and twerking.
First place went to Lambda Chi Alpha and Pi Kappa Alpha took second. Each received baked goods as prizes.
“This event is incredibly unique because only new members are applicable to compete in the competition,” said new AXiD member Alex Bauer, who helped with the planning of the event. “It’s a great way to highlight the talents of the incoming members and for them to get even closer to their pledge class.”
“Getting to spend time and work on a labor of love with the girls in my pledge class was definitely my favorite part,” Bauer said. “It was incredibly stressful, but the end result and knowing that we raised over $800 for Autism Speaks made it absolutely worth it.”
