Wednesday, April 23
10:31 p.m. Staff member reported theft of personal property from their office at the Peter Kiewit Institute. Incident occurred between 3 p.m. and 3:09 p.m., Monday, April 21.
Assistant Manger of Campus Security Paul Kosel said Campus Security believes the suspect is the same from a theft reported on Tuesday, April 22, of a theft of personal property between 3:40 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. on April 21.
The suspect in that incident was described as an African American male, mid 40s, 5-foot-5, 140 pounds and wearing a red, white and black track suit.
Friday, April 25
12:15 a.m. Campus Security responded to loud noise at University Village. Further investigation disclosed the explosion of dry ice bombs at University Village.
Sunday, April 27
12:03 a.m. While on patrol, Campus Security witnessed suspicious activity. Further investigation disclosed alcohol and drug violations. Omaha police were notified. One student was cited for possession of a controlled substance less than an ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A second student was cited for minor in possession, and a third was cited for procuring for a minor and possession of a controlled substance under an ounce. Kosel said both controlled substance charges were for marijuana. Kosel said all three were also referred for disciplinary action.
1:15 a.m. While investigating the above activity, Omaha police witnessed further suspicious activity west of University Village. Further investigation disclosed two students and one visitor in an alcohol violation. All three students were cited by Omaha police for minor in possession. Kosel said the two students were also referred for disciplinary action.
2:33 a.m. While on patrol, Campus Security witnessed a student engaged in hazardous behavior. Further investigation disclosed four students with alcohol violations. Omaha police responded and cited all four students for minor in possession. Kosel said all four were also referred for disciplinary action.
