Amazing Pizza Machine hosts Midnight Mojo

More than 450 UNO students gathered at Midnight Mojo Thurs., Sept. 20 for free pizza, rides and games at The Amazing Pizza Machine from 9 p.m.- 12 a.m.  Midnight Mojo is a monthly free event that is open to all UNO students.

Each month students gather to participate in various activities.  In the past, Midnight Mojo has hosted HPER After Dark, which included rock climbing, hot tubbing, swimming and Zumba.  They have also hosted bowling nights and a casino night where students can earn tickets through playing casino games and win prizes.  

Thursday, The Amazing Pizza Machine had UNO students lined up and waiting before nine o’clock.  The event proved to be worth the wait; with an all you can eat buffet, go- karts, air hockey and many other games and rides. 

“I had never been to the Amazing Pizza Machine before because I thought it was a kids place, but it turned out to be really fun," Junior Shelby Wilson said.  The bumper cars and the ‘Wild Ride’ were my favorite.  Everyone seemed like they were having a really good time." 

If you are interested in drug and alcohol prevention programs like Midnight Mojo, UNO now offers a health education class (HED 3000) that teaches successful prevention techniques. Tuition reimbursement is offered for the class through the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant program. To find out more, contact Nate Bock at 554-2409.
